So what can you actually do to get a bottle at retail? There are no shortcuts here and no guarantees with limited releases these days, but your best chance of getting a bottle is to develop a long term relationship with a liquor store that receives allocations of Pappy. Become a loyal customer and buy from them regularly. Spend time talking shop with the owner and employees. Try and buy their store selected bottles if they have them and kiss their ass telling them how awesome they are.  Share samples with them. Don’t just come in asking about rare or hard to find bottles. Don’t be an asshole.

Sounds like a lot of work for a bottle of hyped bourbon doesn’t it?
